Foo Fighters bands working for their MTV Movie Awards performances

Foo Fighters bands was in California to working for their MTV Movie Awards performances, when band's member Dave Grohl mentions the purchase of the analogue mixing desk the album Nevermind was made on.

Grohl told The Guardian, "Everybody wanted it, but the owner wanted me to have it. I went to pick it and almost started bawling."

He also has an emotional performance before an audience of one when he Novoselic, Krist and Sameer beat song for the upcoming shows were practicing the disclosed and faced inevitable.

Grohl says, "Krist is on bass. Pat's on guitar. I'm on drums".

"Krist says, 'You wanna run through some oldies?' Me and Pat look at each other. I mean, that's something I've never considered before. I was, like [queasily], 'OK.'

"Krist says, 'F-ck it, let's do Smells Like Teen Spirit. And Pat starts playing, and we kick into it. I haven't played that drum beat in 17 years.

"It was crazy. It was like… a ghost. It was heavy.

"Our studio manager was the only guy there and when we'd finished he was like, 'Hey, you should record that.'”

Grohl was asked who provided vocals, and said: "Nobody sang.”

Grohl tells Rolling Stone, "Our tour manager, Gus Brandt, has always been the one to write the rider. That's his personality and sense of humor - he's a wicked smartass. And after the last rider gained so much positive attention, we were all very proud that someone got it."

He added, "The first idea was to make the rider look exactly like a laminated Waffle House menu, with, like, suggested servings and shit like that. But evidently that was just a little too tricky, so we opted for the coloring book".

Entrees like steak and potatoes and the document explains, Grohl says such requests are usually not for the band.

"Most of the rider is meant to make sure that the road crew are fed properly . . . To be honest, that rider has more to do with them than anybody else. I could survive on microwaved burritos and Crown Royal."

Foo fighters and Lupe Fiasco MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night

Foo fighters and Lupe Fiasco MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night after their performance has increased in popularity.

Lupe Fiasco's album Lasers takes from #60 to #25 and became the #1 rap album. "The Show Goes On" takes from #18 to #11, and other singles "Out of my Head" and "Words I Never Said" also had boosts on the hip hop singles chart. His website traffic grew 100%.

The Foo Fighters' song "Walk" had to takes a 162% in iTunes sales, while their album Wasting Light had a 26.5% sales.
